Antarctica’s
Disintegration Could Actually Lead to a Hollywood Disaster Scenario

When movies become
reality.
A New York Times report on Antarctica's disintegration
suggests we may be seeing scenarios previously thought "fit only for
Hollywood disaster scripts" in the near future. So should we be preparing
for a Day After Tomorrow ending soon?
"That movie focused on changing ocean currents in the
Atlantic with some other unrealistic things," Robin E. Bell, the lead
Columbia University scientist of the expedition, gently chided in an email.
Bell and her team have spent the last two Antarctic summers
flying over the world's largest chunk of floating ice—the Ross Ice
Shelf—measuring the rate at which it is melting. It's still unclear what
exactly is causing the warming of ocean waters, the New York Times'
"Antarctic Dispatches" reports, but what is undeniable is that it's
directly leading to rapidly rising sea levels.
"The change will be faster than anything we have seen
before," Bell told Motherboard. "In the last 100 years, the water in
lower Manhattan has gone up 11 inches. We are looking to more than that in the
next 100 years. How much is what we are trying to figure out."
Peter de Menocal, the founder of Columbia University's
Center for Climate and Life, told Motherboard that the report's reference to a
Hollywood disaster script has less to do with handsome actors gazing stormily
into the distance and more to do with lost business.
"The concern many economists have is that accelerating
sea level rise will eventually reveal the vulnerability of coastal real estate
investment in cities such as Miami and Shanghai or Guangzhou and this could
trigger a much larger economic crisis," Menocal explained.
Obviously, loss of lives and forced displacements are chief
concerns too.
"Most of the world's investment is focused along the
coastlines, so the disaster here is loss of property and life, and forced
migration," he said. "This is happening already for small Pacific
island nations, who are leaving their ancestral islands."
A World Bank report predicts that some 1,300 Pacific
Islanders will seek to migrate to Australia and New Zealand annually due to
climate concerns.
"Antarctica is the heart of the planet's 's climate
system. Although it's so remote, it's remarkably important," Menocal
explained. "It's a source of deep water formation that ventilate global
abyssal depths of the world ocean, so if the ice were to melt appreciably, it
could be expected to influence global ocean circulation. The world has a lot
invested in keeping the Antarctic ice intact."
And forget about fighting the elements with Jake Gyllenhaal.
"The film was a largely fictitious reimagining of events related to the
very real 'Younger Dryas' cooling event that occurred at the end of the last
Ice Age around 12,000 years ago," Menocal says. "They took an event
that likely occurred over decades to centuries, and accelerated it to take
place over a weekend in the film."
"That said, the film did get something right—climate
change is extremely disruptive and people don't respond well to disruption.

May 12, 2002 — An iceberg 124 miles long and more than 19
miles wide has broken off Antarctica's Ross Ice Shelf
The iceberg is the largest to break off Antarctica since a
March 2002 berg that was 170 miles long and 25 miles wide.
On Saturday the National Ice Center in Washington, D.C.,
confirmed the size and position of the new berg and labeled it "C-19"
because it was the 19th iceberg to break off in its part of Antarctica since
tracking began.
Antarctic icebergs are spotted and tracked with satellite
photos.
Linda Keller, a researcher at the University of Wisconsin at
Madison, first noticed a crack separating C-19 from the rest of the Ross Ice
Shelf last Friday while she was posting daily satellite images on the
University's Antarctic Meteorology Research Center's Web site.
Keller notified the National Ice Center, which tracks
Antarctic and Arctic icebergs.
The iceberg was no surprise to Antarctic ice researchers.
"The crack has been there about as long as people have
been going to Antarctica," says Charles Stearns, an emeritus professor at
the University of Wisconsin. "In 1987, I saw it from an icebreaker."
He says glaciers and ice streams carry ice from the high Antarctic
plateau covering most of the continent, where it slowly moves down to the ice
shelves at the edges of the continent. There it gradually sloughs off, or
calves, in the form of icebergs.
Stearns says the calving brings the Ross Ice Shelf to the about
the size it was in 1911, when members of Robert Falcon Scott's British
expedition first mapped it.
On May 9, the Ice Center reported that a 47-mile-long
iceberg, which it named C-18, had broken from the Ross Ice Shelf at the eastern
end of what became C-19.
Ross icebergs such as C-19 and B-15 — the 170-mile-long berg
that broke off in 2000 — tower about 100 feet, about as high as a 10-story
building, above the Ross Sea. Another 900 feet of ice lies under the water.
In 2000, B-15 broke into two parts a few days after calving.
These were named B-15A and B-15B. Now, B-15A is near the entrance to McMurdo
Sound at the western end of C-19.
Last year, B-15 acted like a huge breakwater that kept waves
from the Ross Sea from entering McMurdo Sound. One result was that the sound's
sea ice lasted longer than usual. Among other things, this kept many penguins
from their normal ocean feeding grounds, and hundreds of birds died.
The unusually extensive and thick ice also led the National
Science Foundation to ask the U.S. Coast Guard to send two — instead of the
usual one — icebreakers to clear a path for supply ships to the U.S. McMurdo
Station last December.
C-19 and the other large icebergs are much farther south in
a colder part of Antarctica than the peninsula where part of the Larsen B Ice
Shelf broke up earlier this year. While the peninsula is warming, temperatures
in the rest of Antarctica seem to have held about the same since the 1960s, and
some parts are turning colder.
Neither the breakup of the Larsen B Ice Shelf nor the
melting of icebergs that break off Antarctic ice shelves causes sea levels to
rise because the ice is already floating.
Last month, Ted Scambos of the National Snow and Ice Data
Center in Boulder, Colo., was asked: Does the disintegration of the Larsen B
ice shelf show what's going to happen to the Ross Ice Shelf and Antarctica's
other shelves?
Not anytime soon, he answered. "It would take a warming
trend as extreme as the one in the Antarctic Peninsula for at least 50 years to
bring the Ross Ice Shelf to the threshold" of breaking up.
Still, he added, the Larsen B disintegration is "a
great lab experiment. We're seeing something that doesn't have a lot of global
consequences but serves as a glimpse of what's going to happen elsewhere in
areas that do have a lot of global consequences in the future."

I had turned 51 (5+1=6) years of age and for my birthday after speaking with my
companion who was my webmaster of our infamous website unn13 (known for day by day coverage of

park, reason being: there was a metaphysical connection, branching from the

known as Bristol was the biblical Garden of Eden, and the place where Noah
Built his ark. being that it was the only place on earth the wood, used to
build the Ark grew. The book contained much ancient wisdom on numerology, and purported a science known as teleology and I
was intrigued by it because I was born in the area: 2 h 7 min (131.8 mi) via
I-10 W. deeper still it was aligned with
my research being my life work, the metaphysical connection is that my mother
at time of my birth named me Noel.
and my research in gematria and other kabalistic studies revealed to me that Noel was

that Monday at age 51 confirmed my thesis.(we arrived on 15th) the reason the age 51 was
significant not only because the numerical value was 6 (5+1=6) but because the
number 51 was the connection to the Quran and The Great pyramid at Egypt: Each
of the four triangular sides slope upward from the base at an angle of 51
degrees 51 minutes and each side has an area of 5 1/2 acres. The joints between
adjacent blocks fit together with optical precision and less than a fiftieth of

we had return to camp, I made vegie shish- kabobs; on the
grill and fried fish. we had a nice meal topping it off with my favorite drink, sake’. settling down for the evening, storm clouds over the area, I heard a
large vehicle entering our camping area, shortly afterwards around ten min., we
heard a loud thunder clap and saw very bright lightning flash.
somehow I knew what had happen,
it was so strong my companion and her daughter were thrown back on their beds.
Going out after the Incident I ask ones gathered around what had happen,
when they told me of the death of a little girl, I ask was her name Faith and
they said yes, I inquired of her age being six and they replied with yes, not
only was her name faith but her middle name was pristine.

First give you some history and background on this place in
northern Florida known as
Torreya state park:
As told to two guys
from Israel who traveled there by a forest ranger: “The legend is that the big
flood happened here. Noah came here to the only hill in Florida and built the
ark from the Torreya tree. This place is the Garden of Eden.”
This legend is my connection to Torrey a state park. One day
on a visit back to my home town in the early eighties, at the local library I came
across a little book written by EE Callaway.
The generally accepted idea is that the Garden of Eden was
in Asia, that Adam and Eve were created there and that Noah's Ark was built and
launched from that part of the world.
“The late E.E. Callaway, who devoted almost a lifetime of
study to the subjects, wrote a book in 1966 in which he said the Garden was
between Bristol and Chattahoochee - yes, in Florida - and that the Ark was also
made there, some 27 miles west of Tallahassee. Callaway, a Bristol attorney who
was known in Lake and Marion counties, said he had been summoned to Winter Park
in the 1940s by the late Dr. Brown Landone, who told Callaway that Callaway had
been ``nominated'' to interpret the ancient events. I borrowed a copy of
Callaway's book, In the Beginning, from Chapters Bookstore, 717 W. Smith St.,
Orlando.
Most scholars have believed for thousands of years that the
Garden was in Asia, possibly southern Iraq, and that the Ark must have been
built there because the Bible says the Ark landed on Mount Ararat in eastern
Turkey.
Callaway says that nature, science ``and other unimpeachable
evidence'' conclusively prove that the Garden of Eden was east of the
Apalachicola River between Bristol and Chattahoochee in Liberty and Gadsden
counties in Florida. The original area of Eden was much broader, he said: It
consisted of South Georgia and south Alabama, lying east of the Alabama River,
and that part of west Florida lying between the Alabama line on the west and
the Ochlockonee River on the east.
The Bible itself doesn't say. All it says is, ``Now the Lord
God had planted a garden in the east, in Eden; and there he put the man he had
formed. A river watering the garden flowed from Eden; from there it was
separated into four headwaters.''
The Bible mentions the rivers Pison, Gihon, Tigris and
Euphrates. The Eden discovered by Callaway also has four river headwaters, and
the river now flowing out of Eden is the Chattahoochee.
The Bible also mentions that the Pison River flows through a
land of gold. Callaway illustrates that the Chattahoochee River flows through a
great gold belt in Georgia and that the federal government operated a gold mint
at Dahlonega, Ga., for many years.
As for Noah's Ark: Noah was commanded to build it of gopher
wood. A problem with locating the construction of the Ark in Asia is that there
is no gopher wood there; the only known gopher wood on earth is found near
Bristol.
A story in The Orlando Sentinel Dec. 7, 1952, quoted Dr.
Louis T. Nieland of the forestry department, University of Florida, as saying,
``The [gopher) wood in question is unique. So far as is known, it grows only on
the east bank of the Apalachicola River in a small area near Bristol. There are
related species to be found in China and northern California, but botanists
know of no similar wood anywhere else in the world.''
In that area of Florida, some farmers used gopher wood for
fence posts because it is light, yet very strong, and outlasts other wood
exposed to the elements. In the hunt for Noah's Ark, searchers found a piece of
gopher wood on Mount Ararat several years ago, according to news transmissions
of the time. As for other trees mentioned in the Bible, Callaway said that 25
of the 28 trees identified can be found in the area around his new Eden.
Callaway says he was challenged by some who said the Ark
could not have been populated from the present Southern states because the many
different species required could not be found. Callaway's explanation: From the
Ashley lime beds of South Carolina have been taken fossilized parts of the
bones of every animal that has ever been known to have existed on earth.
East of Eden, of course, was the land of Nod, which was
originally that part of Florida lying east of the Ochlockonee River, south of
the Okefenokee Swamp and St. Mary's River, the author tells us. That is where
Cain lived.
Of course, if all this is
correct, then Adam and Eve and all of their progeny - until the flood - are
buried somewhere in Florida, possibly even in a place near you”
“E.E Callaway in his life was:
-- A native of Weoquefka, AL, moved to Lakeland, FL and then
Liberty County after his 'discovery.'
-- A Baptist lay preacher
-- The only lawyer in Liberty County
-- 1936 gubernatorial nominee
-- White lawyer for the NAACP
-- Friends with 'Clarence Darrow' and 'Franklin Deleno Roosevelt'
Mr. Callaway called 'E.E.' and referred to as 'An Old Cuss'
believed that the Torreya Tree (Torreya taxifolia) was the 'gopher wood' which
grew in Eden in the Bible. He also stated "The Bible tells that 'a river
went out of Eden to water the Garden and became four heads.'" "Well,
the Army Corp of Engineers ‘map shows you that. God Created Adamic and one mile
east of Bristol. Then he created the Garden of Eden just north of town."
E.E Callaway did not want people to think this was just
speculation. In 1966 he wrote a book, "In the Beginning" in which he

The 'fact' E.E. collected and based his discovery were
stated by him as these:
- Of the 28 trees identified in the 'First Land' in the
Bible, 25 are in Liberty County... more than anywhere else on earth.
- The 'Gopher wood Tree' (Torreya) only grow in a 20 mile
stretch on the Apalachicola River.
- The drift and pull of the earth was calculated to take an
ark 40 day to Mount Ararat.
- Just as the River in the Bible, the Apalachicola River is
the only river in the world with fout heads to flow through Eden in the Bible.
- He also stated he had a divine revelation (of some kind).
Though this sounds silly to most of us today, his
explanation and description from his book convinced many prompting many to take
a 'pilgrimage' or at least a 'curiosity' trip to the location. E.E. Callaway
responded by build what was in its day, a tourist stop out of the site. Paths,
were cut, signs were placed pavilions were built. However, since these days all
have disappeared. The site is now 'Apalachicola Bluffs and Ravines Preserve'
and though not the tourist destination of the past, it is a wonderful location
to see native Florida, some historical locations and a views of the river from
Alum Bluff among the best in Florida. At 135 feet above the Apalachicola River,
Alum Bluff is the largest natural geological exposure in Florida!
Historically the bluff Played part in the 1st Seminole Wars
when in 1818 Andrew Jackson reached this location with his men starving only to
find the supply ships already located here. The called this location
'Provisions Bluff' in honor of this. During the Civil War it was occupied by
confederate forces that placed heavy artillery here to defend the Apalachicola
River from Union attack. Also the site was the location of a training camp for
Southern troops.
Although most of the battery site has eroded into the river,
a few earthworks can still be seen along the Nature Conservancy's. No grave
site can be found for the soldiers buried here. Fort Griffin and later in 1840
renamed as Fort Preston was also in this area but no sure of location. It was
probably originally build as a stockade which was common by early settler.
These provided a place for shelter and defense during attacks by hostiles.” Before
we enter the story of the little six year old Girl who was killed by lightning
on my 51st birthdate as sign to me of the reality of my mission and
the Gods are with me, I will here prove the thesis of The Messenger E.E.
Callaway.
yurt where we lived for a year
I first came across this proof around the year 2006 while again
living in a yurt with my 19 year old female student (I was 49) on a permaculture project
in the forest near Gainesville Florida-
when there was an earth quake through
the area which was felt for a great distance one of the only ones to ever
strike in the area, it was very small on the scale but traveled a great distance,
I decided to research the matter because we were using a well and small solar
powered pump being off the grid.
my research revealed to me the area had a
large deposit of limestone like the blocks used to build the great pyramids of Egypt,
and the water from the well was the same water one would be drinking if he were
in Africa(Egypt) so, looking further, sparked by the fact we had visited the
city of Brunswick George a few weeks back living in tree houses at a place
called the hostel in the forest.
I learned that this place had a certain mystical
vibration, and my research went from there…
The
Breakup of Pangea: The North America - Africa Connection
The Supercontinent Pangea during
Late Triassic time. All of the major continents of a today were assembled into
a single landmass surrounded by a large ocean. Note that southern North America

The east coast of North America was once as wild as the
West, with massive mountains rising between colliding tectonic plates,
volcanoes belching lava and giant faults slicing the crust.
That's because millions of years ago, eastern North America
was part of Gondwana and Pangaea, the supercontinents that formed as Earth's
tectonic plates collided, split apart, and then crashed together again before
rifting and drifting toward the spots where they're located today. Though North
America's east coast is relatively quiet now, clues to these ancient tectonic
mash-ups remain buried deep underground.
A new look at one of these clues reveals that a weird
magnetic signal near Florida shows the peninsula stuck to North America's heel
like a piece of old tape about 300 million years ago, when the central and

The rocks beneath Florida suggest the peninsula originally
wasn't part of North America. Rather, it's a fragment of either Africa or South
America, sutured onto the southeastern United States near an unusual feature
called the Brunswick Magnetic Anomaly, researchers say.
The Brunswick Magnetic Anomaly is a geological feature that
snakes from Alabama across Georgia, and offshore to North Carolina's Outer
Banks. Anomalies in Earth's magnetic field are caused by structures such as
faults, and by the varying magnetic intensities of different rock types. These
slight differences in rock magnetism can be measured and mapped to find hidden
geologic structures.
Mesozoic magnetic signal?
The new study aims to settle a long-running debate over the
Brunswick Magnetic Anomaly's origin, and is part of a bigger goal: to better
understand the complex tectonic history of eastern North America. One side of
the debate suggests the anomaly marks the split between North America and
Africa — a rift created when Pangaea broke up about 200 million years ago. The
other side holds that the anomaly is much older, and marks the original
collision zone between the two tectonic plates.
To settle the argument, geophysicist Horry Parker of the
University of Georgia searched for evidence of either rifting or collision
beneath the magnetic anomaly. Parker used seismic data to reveal deep geologic
structures, similar to the way doctors use a CT scan to peer inside the body.
It turns out that the Brunswick Magnetic Anomaly lines up
with what geologists call a suture zone, which is a structure formed during an
ancient collision between two tectonic plates. The suture zone is buried about
9 to 12 miles (15 to 20 kilometers) below the surface, Parker said.
In other words, the magnetic anomaly is consistent with the
side of the debate arguing that the anomaly formed during the older tectonic
event — the collision that formed the southern Appalachian Mountains.
"There's really no independent evidence for
rift-related structures in the deep crust," Parker told Live Science's Our
Amazing Planet.
But the seismic data also found remnants of Pangaea's
breakup in the shallow crust near the magnetic anomaly, Parker said. This suggests
that the continental rifting might have affected the upper and lower crust
differently, leaving evidence of the collision zone intact only in the deep
crust.
"It's an interesting problem, why we see evidence for
both in the same general area," he said. "Our overall goal is to
understand how the continental collision was affected by continental rifting,
so the interesting thing is that maybe the upper and lower crust may not be
affected in the same way by rifting."
The findings were published March 31 in the journal GSA

A six year –old Cottondale girl was killed by lighting Sunday
afternoon
At Torreya state park,
just ten minutes after she arrived with family members for a six-night stay, according
to a report from liberty county sheriff’s Department.
Bobby Gene and Lois Jackson, both 60, took their four grandchildren,
including six year old faith pristine Jackson (pictured above) to campsite #3
and were getting settled in a little after 5p.m when the unthinkable happened.
Faith was standing about two feet behind their motor home
when a blast of lighting struck a huge pine tree 42 ½ feet away.
The lightning scarred the tree before racing down and
blasting out from the roots, traveling toward the little girl and knocking her
to the ground.
“It was like the roots exploded. It went right to where she
was standing,” said Lt.Henry Hamlin. You can see where the lighting opened up a
trough on top of the ground.”
The Jacksons and three of their grandchildren, including a
three year- old boy and two girls, age 7 and 8,were gathered around a picnic
table about 12 feet away and were not hurt. The couple ran to the little girls
aid. Her grandfather began CPR while her grandmother called 911.
When the ambulance arrived, the crew tried to revive her,
two ambulance workers and Hamlin continued their efforts from Torreya to the
emergency room at Calhoun-Liberty Hospital, where the youngster was pronounced dead.
“We worked on her all the way to the hospital. She never regained consciousness
after she was hit,” he said.
The lightning blast left marks on the sides of her feet, her
stomach and chest area.
The sound from the lightning “Was loud and intense,” said Pam
Anderson, who was just sitting down to dinner with her husband, Bill, when they
heard the bolt crashing into the park two miles from their home on Torreya park
Road.
She said it sounded like an explosion
